The word HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) refers to procedures you must put in place to ensure the food you produce is safe.

These procedures make up your food safety management system based on the principles of HACCP.

Your food safety management system allows you to identify and control any hazards that could be a potential danger to the preparation of safe food.  It helps you to:

  • Identify what could go wrong
  • Make a plan to prevent it
  • Make sure you are carrying the proper procedure out

This certified 1 day course in Food Safety and HACCP Awareness is a legal requirement for anyone working with, serving or preparing food in terms of satisfying legal requirements to have completed food safety training. The course consists of 8 hours training, during which time the tutor assesses each participant for adequate knowledge and competency.

Aim: The Food Safety and HACCP Awareness course aims to identify and control hazards that could become a threat to food Safety & to make learners aware of the HACCP system of food  management and control.

he HACCP (Basic Food Safety & HAACP Awareness course is delivered by a Food Safety Authority Ireland (FSAI) approved tutor. The course is delivered using a power-point presentation with discussions and videos.

What award do I receive? After successful completion of the HACCP (Basic Food Safety & HAACP Awareness) each learner will receive a certificate of completion from Castleblayney Community Enterprise.

Course Duration: The HACCP Food safety & Awareness course is delivered over 1 day from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Entry Requirements: Good command of the English language with a proficient level of literacy.

How much does it cost? The course fee is €150. We accept cash or card payments
