Castleblayney Community Enterprise were delighted to offer participants from its Adult Education Programme the opportunity to take part in a two-day trip to Spain as part of the Erasmus+ Group Mobility Programme.
The group, consisting of eight participants who had been attending Flamenco dance classes in Castleblayney led by Spanish dance teacher Monica Calabuig Belda, travelled to Caudete in the province of Albacete. Where they were hosted by our partner organisation Ayuntamiento de Caudete Universidad Popular.
During their visit, participants took part in a series of Flamenco Dance workshops and enjoyed a valuable cultural exchange, gaining insight into Spanish culture, traditions and history.
Castleblayney Community Enterprise and Muckno Mania Committee now look forward to welcoming Mónica and local dance groups to Castleblayney this July as part of the Muckno Mania Festival which is a Spanish theme this year.
