Abrasive Wheels
Aim: The Abrasive Wheels training courses aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure they are competent and safe when mounting an abrasive-wheel.
Delivery: The Abrasive Wheels training course is delivered by a NB Training approved tutor. The course is delivered using a power-point presentation with discussions and videos.
What award do I receive? After successful completion of the course, each participant will be awarded a NB Training certificate in ‘Abrasive Wheels’.
Course Duration: The Abrasive Wheels course is run over 1 evening (6.30-10pm).
Entry Requirements: Good command of the English language.

- Health & Safety legislation for the safe use of Abrasive Wheels
- Hazards when working with Abrasive Wheels
- Using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Inspection & testing of equipment and Abrasive Wheels
- Different functions of blotters, flanges etc.
- Correct procedure for Wheel Mounting
Accreditation
Assessment is by theory & a practical component of correctly mounting an Abrasive Wheel and inspection of equipment
After successful completion of the Abrasive Wheels training course, each participant will receive an Abrasive Wheels competence certificate from NB Training, which is valid for 2 years from date of issue.
