First Aid Responder (FAR) (includes CPR)
Aim: This First Aid Responder (FAR) training courses aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to provide an emergency first aid response, if the need arises.
Delivery: The FAR training course is delivered by a Health & Safety Authority (HSA) Health care provider approved instructor.
What award do I receive? After successful completion of the course and examination each learner will receive a certificate.
Course Duration: The FAR course is delivered over a 3 days from 9.30am-4.30pm each day.
Entry Requirements: Good command of the English language with a proficient level of literacy, wear comfortable clothing.
How much does it cost? The course fee is €235. We accept cash or card payments
Course Venue: The course is held in Castleblayney Community Enterprise Centre, Dublin Road, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan A75 WF72

Accreditation
After successful completion of the FAR training course, each participant will receive a First Aid Response certificate, which is valid for 2 years from date of issue. After that the 2-day First Aid Refresher course must be completed within 30 days of expiry date in order to recertify.
Delivery Format
The course is delivered using a power-point presentation with discussions, videos, hands-on practical learning and an skills based assessment along with a multiple choice examination.
