Manual Handling injuries may cause a range of severe implications for the employer and the person who has been injured. To avoid injury employers must examine the risks of each task and put Health and safety measures in place to prevent injury.

The Manual Handling training course is structured in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Authority and fulfils current Health & safety Legislation requirements.  This course will therefore satisfy your organisations training obligations under the 2007 Manual Handling regulations and the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005.

Description

Manual Handling (excludes Patient Handling)         

Aim: This training courses aims to give participants the skills and knowledge needed to understand more about potential risks and how to handle heavy loads to maintain a safe working environment and reduce the risk of harm.

Delivery:  The Manual Handling training course is delivered by a HSE approved tutor. The course is delivered using a power-point presentation with discussions, videos and hands-on practical learning.

What award do I receive? After successful completion of Manual Handling training each learner will receive a certificate of attendance from Castleblayney Community Enterprise.

Course Duration: The Manual Handling course is delivered over a 2 hours from 6.30-8.30pm.

Entry Requirements: Good command of the English language with a proficient level of literacy, wear comfortable clothing.

How much does it cost? The course fee is €50. We accept cash or card payments

Course Venue: The course is held in Castleblayney Community Enterprise Centre, Dublin Road, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan A75 WF72
